About Us

James P. Crocker

Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Croc Line

Born in 1970, James Crocker moved to Hobe Sound, Florida at age 13 and has lived nearby ever since. He started his first company, Pressure Cleaning Services, at just 18 years old with a $1,200 pressure washer. He soon became enamoured with shooting water at higher and higher pressures. In 1997, he invested in his first 40,000 PSI ultra-high-pressure water blasting machine, which led to a major discovery: the technology’s power to efficiently remove roadway striping and soon thereafter runway rubber buildup.

He soon began designing & cobbling together bits & pieces to make the process faster & eventually cleaner. Early models were mounted on walk behind lawn mowers or ride on gas powered homeowner mowers. All this gave way to the revolutionary “Stripe Hog” system. He sold the first unit in 2005 to a contractor in the United Kingdom, and demand quickly spread worldwide. Under Crocker’s leadership, Hog Technologies became the undisputed global leader in the field, selling equipment in 56 countries around the globe. By 2025, the company had sold more such removal units than its five largest competitors combined. A prolific inventor with no formal engineering degree, Crocker held 25 patents (with nearly 30 pending) at the time he sold the manufacturing assets of Hog Technologies to Federal Signal Corporation in February 2025.

He retained the road striping contracting division, now operating as CROC Enterprises LLC (including DBA’s CROC Line and Croc Crash Solutions). Combined, those companies surpassed $100 million in combined annual sales in 2025. Internationally, he also founded Diversified Water Blasting in Dubai and also leads The Crocker Group LLC, a real estate investment company.

Beyond business, Crocker is a devoted family man and author. He has written and published seven illustrated children’s books focused on character and values, plus the humorous golf book The Wonderful Blunderful Game of Golf. He and his wife Sandee Jo (also a published Simon & Schuster author “If Walls Could Talk) live in Stuart, Florida. They have five children, six grandchildren, and a seventh on the way.

An avid traveler who has visited more than 40 countries Crocker enjoys offshore fishing on his 75-foot Jim Smith custom sport fishing yacht named “Fish Hog”, Crocker is affectionately known throughout the industry as “The Hog Father” and is busier than ever building the new CROC brand.
